Find an example
Find an example of an artwork that is meaningful to you. The piece can be in any medium (singing, painting, video of a dance, sculpture, music video, etc.), from any period, and from any civilization/culture.
Post a link
Post a link to the image or music and provide the Name of the Piece, the Name of the Artist (if it’s an ancient piece you probably won’t know the name – put Artist Unknown in that case), the Date of the Piece, and what Civilization or Culture it is from (i.e. China, Greece, Senegal, Renaissance Italy – these are just examples NOT restrictions).
Answer the questions
Study the piece and answer the following questions:
Why is this piece meaningful to you? Be specific.
What emotion, mood, or state of mind was the artist trying to convey with his/her composition of the figure?
Was the artist trying to convey something else?
Was the artist trying to show a global issue?
Was the artist trying to engage the public in ‘looking’ at the world in a different way?
Was the artist trying to make a change through his/her art? Explain
How was this achieved? Use specifics from the piece to support your answer. Tell us where to look and what to look for so that we can see what you see.
In your opinion was the artist successful or not successful in conveying the emotion, mood, or state of mind?
Why do you think the artist was successful or not successful? Use specifics from the piece to support your answer.

Competencies In this project, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following

Competencies
In this project, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following competencies:
Perform a gap analysis between current and future states
Collaborate with data management professionals on data needs
Scenario
You are a data analyst for a company. Your mentor, a senior data professional, has informed you about a data project that is currently ongoing to support the acquisition of a different company. Your mentor, Alfred, has given you the opportunity to create a mock presentation that addresses the data project to support your professional development and give you feedback. Your mentor has also informed you that if your work exceeds expectations, it will be included in a presentation to the management of the data analysis team prior to their next steps.
You completed and received feedback on the first part of the assignment from your mentor in Project One. Now, you will use the initial assessment you performed in Project One to inform your decision making for Project Two.
Directions
You completed a preliminary assessment of data related to the merger and determined that there is enough information to perform the next steps. Begin by completing a gap analysis, using the provided data, on the given organizational problem presented in the scenario. You will use your conclusions from the gap analysis to write a proposal that specifically outlines the needs identified in the gap. The results of your gap analysis and proposal will be submitted to your mentor in presentation format.
Though you will submit your work to your mentor, you must write your gap analysis and proposal as though you were communicating with management and the various data management professionals in your organization. Specifically, you must address the following:
Gap Analysis
Perform a gap analysis to determine the actions needed to move from the current state to the future state. The gap analysis must include the following elements:
Current and Future States: Explain the current and future state of the organization.
Write clear and concise descriiptions of your organization’s current problem and the desired future state.
Identification of the Gap: Identify the gap between the current state and future state of the organization.
Describe the differences between the current state and the desired future state. Illustrate the impact on your organizational problem if you do nothing to reach your future state.
Move From Current State to Future State: Determine the steps to move from the current state to the future state.
After the gap has been identified, you will determine what organizational or process changes are needed to move from the current state to future state. Propose steps to complete these changes.
Presentation and Presentation Speaker Notes
After completing your gap analysis, you will inform stakeholders of your results. In your presentation, include the following:
Visualize the Gap Analysis: Create a visual representation of the gap analysis to move from current state to future state.
Use the Gap Analysis Template in the “What to Submit” section to create a matrix to visualize your gap analysis results. Your matrix should demonstrate the results of your gap analysis and how it aligns to the current and future states.
Summarize the Gap Analysis: Explain the results of the gap analysis to stakeholders.
After you create your visualizations, summarize your findings from all the prior steps and your proposal for next steps.
Create a checklist or other visual representation (e.g., a flowchart) to identify the actions and process flow needed to reach the future state.
Identify what is needed for each gap analysis checklist item and which stakeholder is responsible for having that information.
Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) Process: Describe the ETL process.
Describe the ETL process as it relates to your proposal to close the gap. Describe what data needs to be extracted, how the data could be transformed to meet future needs, and where the data will be loaded for storage.
Sensitive or Confidential Information Handling: Write a summary for the handling of sensitive or confidential information.
The storage, handling, and manipulation of confidential or sensitive information is an important part of data handling projects.
Identify if there is or could be sensitive or confidential information contained in your organizational problem, and describe how sensitive information will be handled.
Identify the sources of the above information and any regulatory considerations in using that information.
Production and Testing Environments: Identify appropriate use of production and testing environments needed for the data project.
Explain why using sandbox environments is important to the preservation of data integrity.
Additional Data Resources: Justify the need for additional data resources, defending the need for any resources that seem currently out of the scope of the project.
What to Submit
To complete this project, you must submit the following:
Gap Analysis
Submit your completed gap analysis matrix using the Gap Analysis Template.
Presentation and Presentation Speaker Notes
Presentation: Submit your presentation using the Project Two Presentation Template. Your presentation should be 12 to 15 slides in length. Include speaker notes for each presentation slide. Any sources should be cited according to APA style.
Supporting Materials
The following resource supports your work on the project:
Spreadsheet: Kansas City and Warehouse Data Set
Use this spreadsheet to access data for Project Two.
Document: Kansas City Monthly Totals
Use this spreadsheet to access data for Project Two.

Discussion questions should reflect substantial and substantive engagement with weekly materials. (100 words only!!!!!)
Format should be like this: Steinburg suggests that platforms’ varying usages can be categorized into product-technology platforms, transactional or mediation platforms, and content platforms. Product-technology platforms refer to the usage of computer hardware as platforms, which came into being in the late 1970s. The shift from these platforms came with the introduction of content platforms, which refers to sites for streaming videos and social media networks. According to Kawakami, content platforms provide a framework for circulating content. Generally, platforms are defined in relation to their goal to host and circulate content. Discussion Question: Given the relationship between contents and platforms, is it possible to define platforms without relating them to contents, and which among the two concepts can be considered superior?

Deny a Request – Saying “No”
Learning to say “no” effectively can help you manage and maintain professional relationships.
Context
Aminata Cruz, the owner of Melt, a growing chain of fast casual restaurants specializing in gourmet grilled cheese, is a business friend and contact. You worked closely with her when she contracted your company’s services six months ago. Melt is in the midst of expanding its menu with the goal of becoming the “Chipotle of grilled cheese.” New plans include expanding the list of add-ins, such as bacon and tuna, offering gluten-free bread, and adding grilled dessert items, such as fluffernutter paninis, with the goal of attracting a broader clientele.
Aminata has written to you for a professional and personal favor. She wants to set up a tasting bar in your company cafeteria to test Melt’s experimental new combinations. All the food would be free of course, but employees would have to fill out feedback forms for each item they taste.
You want to support Aminata’s plans for expansion, but there are a variety of factors in play. Your company only has a small lunch room, and employees usually bring their own food, go out for lunch, or order delivery. Everyone has very tight deadlines, so you can’t be sure they would take the free food if they had to spend time filling out feedback forms. You’re also worried that the menu items contain foods with common allergens, dietary restrictions, or strong smells. You want to avoid the possibility of irritating your co-workers, and it would be awkward to ask your boss to do this favor for Melt, despite the business it has brought your company.
Normally you would call Aminata to discuss her request, but because Aminata emailed you at work with a formal proposal, you decide to email her back with a careful response to keep things professional.
Task
Write an email that uses the negative news guidelines and retains good relations with Aminata and Melt but refuses this request. Use one or two of the above reasons that make sense for your audience and expand with details/commentary. You can offer an alternative, if appropriate.
You may use details from the prompt in your message but must use your own words rather than merely repeating the language above.
Follow this link for how to format your email:
https://researchguides.library.wisc.edu/360communicationguide
then write 3 specific questions at the bottom you would like to ask your peers about your writing to improve it.
I am attaching some reading below that may help w this assignment.
let me know if you have questions
