Overview: The final project for this course is the creation of a research study report. For the first milestone, you need to select an appropriate study from the Final Project Research Study Options document found in the Module One Reading and Resources. Then you will publish the first of three sections that will make up your report. Prompt: publish the “Introduction” section of your research study report, which includes the following critical elements: I. Identify the specific focus of the research. In other words, what was this study about? II. Explain the purpose of the study. What was the study trying to achieve? III. Describe the specific characteristics of the group being studied. What was the population? What was the sample size? What were its demographics? Submit your Milestone One submission to the assignment page in Module Two. You will be graded based on the rubric information below. Rubric Guidelines for Submission: Your publish of the “Introduction” section of your research study report should be 1 page in length (plus a cover page and references) and must be written in APA format. Use double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Cite all references in APA format. This week we investigate how quantities exist in multiple dimensions (i.e., 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional space). Naturally, we think about the world in three dimensions because that is what we experience daily. As a result, our minds are frequently making qualitative inferences about the space around us. However, we may or may not naturally quantify those situations. Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words: Reflect on your day today. Think about all the times you considered how much space something took up to help make a choice. List as many examples from the past 24 hours as you can recall. This week we examine how to solve for an unknown quantity. Some situations may be easily modeled by single variable equations and others might be more difficult. Display your work. Determine which of the two downhills is steeper, and explain how you determined this based on their slopes. Determine whether the graph you created for this coaster qualifies as a function. Then explain why it is or is not a function. Review the function definition and the vertical line test for just a function.
